Hi,
I am hoping you can help me out. I am trying to install qstat on a cobalt linux server. I can compile it to linux using the make command. But when I type qstat to run it, it just says command not found. The file is executable and the directory is executable. I know I am missing a step and since I am no expert, I was hoping someone could help. If you need more details, let me know.

Very often the current directory is not set up to be a "path" on a Unix server. Therefore, to execute a file in the current directory not in the path, you need to specify the current directory with a "./" in front of the file (i.e. ./qstat). HTH...

Brilliant. You were right on the money. Thanks alot. Now, if I do ./qstat it gives me the options.
2nd question then. Is there anything I need to do different then in my config of the conf file? I dont think so, only cause the I have to give the full path in it.

You specify the full path in the conf file, so nothing special should be required for the script to find the qstat program.
