So, what did you think?
I'd have to say it was great :D I was the second person in line at our theater, and I loved every minute of the film.. I definetly got to see it a couple more times and get it when it comes out on DVD.
I saw it for the second time this morning with the wife and kids. I like it even more the second time around. I'll probably see it a third or fourth before the run is over. Then there's the pirate DVD... :D
Well I thought it was a decent flick, not on par with the older movies, but Georgie is coming closer. To be honest, there just aren't any characters I feel closeness to in episode one and two. In four, five and six, all the characters had so much life and energy, and you just loved them. The only character I can say I love in episode 2 is R2, he and 3PO are the only characters that transgress for me (is transgress the right word, heck I don't know). Just didn't bring out any of my emotions.
I felt as though there was a closeness between me and anakin, maybe likewise personalities? *Death Star here we come* not really, but I felt for Anakin.. and I feel he was well acted. Bring on Episode 3!
I liked Jango Fett, Dooku, and of course, Yoda.
Obi-Wan wasn't bad at all in this one.
I'll have to agree with you on those Squid.. and of course Yoda was awesome.. :D
I felt a certain closeness with Natalie Portman's right nipple. ;)
ROFL Bribo.. I know the feeling.. ;) :lol2:
I was pretty darned happy about this installment of the Star Wars saga. It didn't really blow me away, but it certainly lived up to my expectations, and anytime I can say that about a movie, I feel like I got my money's worth. (Not tomention that it was infinitely better than Episode I.) I'll likely be going back to see this in the theater again at some point, and when this movie hits DVD, I'll be waiting to pick it up.
It's unfair to criticize Clones based on the acting. Bad acting is a Star Wars tradition. Go back and watch 4, 5 and 6: "But Uncle Owen, Biggs and I were going to go into Tashi station and pick up some power converters!"
Harrison Ford was a great actor, of course. Carrie Fisher wasn't a bad actress, but wasn't really right for a guy movie. And Mark Hamil never rose to the level of mediocre.
I feel kinda sorry for Lucas, because what the critics are really saying is, "This movie didn't make me feel like a kid again, like 4, 5 and 6." That's because it's 25 years later, and we aren't kids any more. Lucas can't do anything about it.
The only thing I can criticize about Clones is that it didn't feel like a complete story. There was no emotional uplift at the end. But that's because it's the second movie in the set. The Empire Strikes Back was the same way.
How 'bout..."I want my 2 hours back"
'niff said.

Did you ever watch Thndercats? because it sounds like something that might come from that.. although I'm not sure.. I might have heard it on there once while not paying full attention..Quote:

'Niff said is similar to 'Nuff said, but not a trademark phrase (of spiderman in this case)

Its hard enough to but transformers season 1 on DVD...
