New Orleans Travel
This is my second attempt to post from the San Francisco airport... this t-mobile connection sucks... and it's not free like Portland.
I'm going to New Orleans... it's going to be a crappy trip and I'm looking for some pitty.
I played COD2 last night... very nice demo. A bit short. More frantic and a more complete experience that BF:2. I like it. I may have to try to get this one... damn, 3 months till christmas.

Well, I arrived in New Orleans and on the way to the launch service (boat to take me out to the tanker) we got a call informing us (me and the driver) that the launch was canceled. So, I was driven to Baton Rouge and dumped off in a middle-of-no-where hotel room that the agent has been using as a temporary office. I'll be hanging out here for 24 hours (thank god for internet access, cable TV and Pizza Hut Delivery) until a helicopter can be arranged for tomorrow.
I knew I should have loaded some games up on this work laptop. :(
P.S. Just found out that Mrs. Nuts has got herself another case of the preggers! W00t! My 533d is L337!

Baton Rouge! That's my old stomping ground - I grew up as a teen there. That place is great. Well it was, until it got overrun by the "finer" elements from New Orleans.
In any event, be sure to hit Ralph and Kakus (how embarrasing, I can't even spell it right anymore) for some TOP NOTCH cajun food. Stear clear of Joes Crab shack, that place is the most overated (and overpriced) "cajun" chain I've ever been to. Catfish town and the levee area are (or were) nice spots to hang out. They are clean and safe too (or used to be). For clothing, hit the mall and pick up some Pier Crawdaux shirts - nothing like a snappy dress shirt with a crawfish where the polo usually is :)
Biegnets are of course a must - perfect for breakfast, or a midnight sweet. Just be sure to go to a proper place that makes them - not some microwaved junk. And be careful while eating one, the powdered sugar can cause a sneeze, resulting in a real disaster if you just bought a brand new Pier Crawdaux shirt that you are now wearing.
Oh, and be sure to get some Pralines too - the fresher the better.
Oh yea, and congrats on #2.

I talk to a friend in NO, he says its still pretty ugly there. Tons of mold and other nasties still linger so be on your guard.
Grats on #2!
