I can setup a league if wanted, but before I do I'd like to get some input from everyone if there are any particular settings you'd like to have?
Or if Beast or whoever wants to spearhead the effort, that's fine too!

I'm a noob and all, but I prefer leagues that reward for yardage as well as scoring. I think that's what we had last year, so more of the same would be good.
I'd like to play this year as well. Total n00b though. Will need some instruction on how this whole Fantasy Football thing works.
I'll play again.
Just what Faxman said... :bounce:
It is indeed time! I've already committed to running a league for some of my real life pals (several of whom played with us last year); we can either combine that league to make it the semi-official AK league, or if we'd rather keep that league in-house and Hylander wants to run it, that's cool too.
I'm planning on having the online draft on a weeknight, probably 9 PM-ish, near the end of the preseason--it sucks to have your first round pick go out for the season with a preseason game injury, and there's almost always one, especially if the league is large with a thin free agent pool.
Im in again had a great time the past couple years, maybe a little pool this time, winner takes all. Or a gift card, maybe 10 dollars a person, $160 can go a long way........or something. Post ideas I will be willing to put in the legwork.
16 slots=160 dollors fyi
Beast.. I have no problem combining with your friends if you'd like. Is there enough room? Or if others prefer to keep it just AK, I'm fine with that too. I will administer it so you aren't doing two leagues.
I'm in once again as well. ;)
Yahoo leagues allow up to 20 people....though it scares me to think of a fantasy league where Billy Volek is potentially a legitimate late 2nd/early 3rd round pick. Right now, I'd have to commit 5 or 6 slots to non-AK members. Last year, we had 14 teams and that spread the benches and free agent pools pretty thin--every team we add to the league is another 15 players gone from the waiver wire, so I'd think that going much above 16 teams would radically change the dynamic of the draft. Up to everyone whether that's good or bad. And Yahoo requires an even number of teams at draft time, or it'll do a list-based autodraft instead of a live one.
My vote would be to do one big league if there's 10 or fewer AKs who want to participate. Any more than that and we should probably split 'em up.
I agree... I wouldn't want to get much bigger than last year. By the time the 3rd round of the draft came around, the pickings were mighty slim.
Lets have everyone interested add their name (If it's not already listed) to the list so we can see how many AK we have:
1) Hylander
2) Beast
3) Squidly
4) Bribo
5) Faxman
6) Camelwalk
7) Devil Dog
Hy forgot me... *emo tear*
8) Slaughter (even though hes not in AK any more would really like to do Fantasy Football with you guys still)
I'd prefer if this was an all AK contest. This would keep the group smaller, the draft better and the weekly gamplay more meaningful as everyone will know everyone.
Bribo,
I don't have a problem with that, and it's probably a pretty good idea. I'll try and get this setup this afternoon.
