Apparently Verizon is allowing 3rd party services (e.g. Mobeebuzz) to slam customers via text messages. They require you to reply and decline, our you get signed up for a $10/month additional premium service.

Happen to me so I complained and got the $40 in charges waved. I had them put a NO preminum text messages on the account and haven"t been charged since.
