1.1 problems
I just installed ver 1.1 and having some problems. I have the older t2serverstat up and running and didn't have any problems with it. I've been through the conf file 10 times and can't find a problem.
Whenever it runs I see in the error log:
Too many arguments for open at /usr/home/fraggers/htdocs/server/serverstat/tribesserverstat.cgi line 160, near ""$settings{serverip}:$settings{serverport}")"
Too many arguments for open at /usr/home/fraggers/htdocs/server/serverstat/tribesserverstat.cgi line 182, near ""$settings{serverip}:$settings{serverport}")"
Execution of /usr/home/fraggers/htdocs/server/serverstat/tribesserverstat.cgi aborted due to compilation errors.
Any help would be appreciated.

Guys...just a quick update. Zorro and wife just added a new baby to their family. I've spoke with him and asked him to follow up as soon as possible. Lack of sleep with 4 kids and work...he's been snowed under.

NR thanks for the reply, appreciate it.
AnnihilationIX,
What OS are you running?
I'm running this on a FreeBSD 4.4 box with Apache webserver and Perl5.
-
thanks neverretreat, not in any hurry, so dont bug him too much :D
bones, their servers are running Redhat Linux 6.1....not sure what version of perl, although i believe they are pretty up to date.
-
Alrighty... so I've found a breathing hole in the snow today...
Are either of you guys using the tribesserverstatindex.* files? If not, try using tribesserverstat with the following url line and see what happens:
http://www.yourserver.com/cgi-bin/tr...ersion=Tribes2
If that works, then there's something in your conf file that's either incorrect OR the conf file is inaccessible to the cgi. Check to make sure it's readable by at least your web server effective user...

hey thanks for replying!
there still seems to be something wrong though, i still get an Internal Server Error saying:
"The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request."
:(

yup, here ya go.
http://www.metalhordes.com/cgi-bin/t...ersion=Tribes2
i've tried the script on 3 different hosts, and all of them came up with a 500 error :\
-
You check to make sure the path to the conf file was right in the script itself? The platform and everything is right on, so I know it's not a compatibility thing... Read thru the instructions one more time and check everything...
-
welp...i've checked the paths over and over again and I am almost certain they are right...gone through the instructions again...hmmm.
is there an older version available that i could try?
adios
-
The conf file paths can be right, but if the script can't find the conf file, then it's all for naught... I don't keep older versions of the software lying around, and I KNOW that it should work in your environment since it's developed and tested on Red Hat... That's the only thing I can think of... 550's are usually script errors, but we're running the same platform and same web servers, so I doubt that's the problem... Only other thing I can think of is updating your version of Perl. I'm running 5.6.1 currently, and I think the stock release is 5.5.0, but I could be wrong...

Thanks for replying Zorro,
I tried running mine using your supplied url and still get the same errors in my error log.
I'm assuming if it doesn't work by supplying the parameters then it's not a problem with the conf file?
Here's my url:
http://www.fraggershall.com/server/s...serverstat.cgi
Here's what I see in the error log:
Too many arguments for open at /usr/home/fraggers/htdocs/server/serverstat/tribesserverstat.cgi line 160, near ""$settings{serverip}:$settings{serverport}")"
Too many arguments for open at /usr/home/fraggers/htdocs/server/serverstat/tribesserverstat.cgi line 182, near ""$settings{serverip}:$settings{serverport}")"
