Squires and Recruits off day practice at 9PM EST...jump on TS secondary channel prior to joining. We'll be using the tourney server.

Thursday night practice was a lot of fun.....
Nothing like practicing technique on the real thing.....
Yeah, I found the practice to be very useful as well (even though I joined very late.)
Breaking down and working in a focused manner on skills is great. I'm glad you're doing this, NR.
Now I need to figure out how to trigger that shocklance dependably every time. I keep getting misfires.
I am having the same problem, only it's with the ELF....
I don't know what the maximum range is, plus even when I am close it seems like it still misfires sometimes????
I figure there is something I am missing????
Shocklance can hit out to at least 15meters but it just takes a ton of practice to get to know when to pull the trigger on it. Practice on bots to get a better feel for it.
Elf you can drop a mine on the ground and start walking away from it and see how far away you can make contact. Elf needs energy so you can pull the trigger and hold it but if you have no energy it ain't going to work.
Practice last night is always helpful. Our next Thursday practice won't be until Dec 6th due to the holiday and me being out of town on the 29th.
So will look at another day to work in a practice like last night before then. Our next one will be working on playing naked or with only your spawn stuff. We need to learn what we can and can't do without our normal loadouts. Plus it will help us when our gens are down and need to fight that way.
NR
Great idea!!!
There are many times when I have respawned in a game and the Gens were down....
It's hard to fight naked..... LOL
When I was in the Marines we lived by a saying that was simple, and I am sure all of you have heard it before......
The more you train in peace, the less you bleed in war.....
Keep up the great work NR........
I am available any day but, Monday's for practice, I am starting a night class on the 19th.........
Thanks DD, what class you taking?
NR
I am taking Strategic Planning.....
Fun, fun, fun....... lol
Devil Dog,
In response to your earlier questions regarding the ELF, I have found through many many misses (hehe) that the ELF will fire just inside 40m. Typically when cutting a capper off I will stay on the ground when the capper is about 70-80 m away to start rebuilding energy then zap him when he hits that 40m mark. The only problem at that distance is the Elf tends to stray catching other LD chasing the carrier, and if the capper is catching an upslope he may fly vertically out of your 40 m range.
Baddy
Sorry I missed the practice. I was late getting home due to traffic problems (a storm blew through yesterday).
The good news is I think I have Teamsound all worked out with hotkeys to switch channels and everything.
I'll be there Sunday.
Given the fast turnaround, we'll be holding informal practices on Friday and Saturday as well... If you can make it, stop by and join us in knocking the dust off our mad skilz :)
