Is this your house?
It's a slow day at work today, so I thought I'd start a little game. Below is a satellite image of a neighborhood where one of us lives, in fact the little red dot just may be YOUR house. Let's see how well you can spot where you live. (Note: If you have recently moved, this may be a picture of your last house)

If you guess correctly, you will receive a $5.00 gift certificate from amazon.com courtesy me.
Prizes will only be awarded to active AK members, AK Squires, and AK Recruits. Gift certificates and unused portions of gift certificates should be spent within 18 months from the date of issuance, which is the "spend by" date included on the gift certificate. Gift certificate holders will be given an additional 6-month grace period to spend their gift certificates, and gift certificates and unused portions of gift certificates will expire two years from the date of issuance, which is the "expires" date included on the gift certificate.*
Gift certificates must be redeemed through the Amazon.com Web site, http://www.amazon.com, toward the purchase of products listed in Amazon.com's online catalog. Gift certificates may be redeemed for the purchase of products from third-party sellers through the Amazon.com Web site, except gift certificates may not be redeemed for purchases at Amazon.com Auctions, zShops, and the following merchants: Circuit City, Eddie Bauer, Gap, Newport News, Nordstrom, Old Navy, Spiegel, Ultimate Outlet Brands (Spiegel Clearance). [AK]Nuts (further known as Judge) has final determination of winner and can void any entry as he determines. Entry into said contest is consent to body cavity probing at judges request to be carried out by youngest AK member (DiscoStu). Prize to be awarded within five(5) business days of determining the winner. The winner must provide the judge with a valid e-mail address to be awarded said prize. The prize is delivered via e-mail and by no other means.

It sure isn't me.
I've played with enough satellite sites that I could spot my place instantly.
-
Not me...my river doesn't come to a dead end like that.
-
Not me. My neighborhood is not gridlike in any way.
Here's my house.
You can find your own right here: http://terraserver.microsoft.com/default.aspx
BTW, love the disclaimer at the bottom, Nuts. :)
-
I think I know where it is.
-
One question. Can we assume that up is north and down is south?
-
North is up depending on your relative position to your monitor.
-

Clue number 1:
The house shown is an AK member, squire or recruit
Clue number 2:
Using information available on AK Forums and tools on the internet ANYONE can solve the mystery. If it's not your house, whose is it?
Clue number 3 will be disclosed on Friday
-
It's Kidd.
That was fun, now that I've spent two hours searching.....
Kidd's Ponderosa
-
Well, it definitely isn't Clay's House.

We have a winner!!!!
Congratulations to Choozoo for successfully identifying the pictures of Kidd's house in Great Falls, MT.
Mr. Choozoo will be receiving a $5.00 gift certificate for Amazon.com. Way to go Chooz!
Perhaps Choozoo can share with others how he determined the answer?
Stay tuned for another exiting game in the coming weeks.
Edit: Choozoo has volunteered to role his prize into the next game. So thanks to Chooz, we'll be up to $10.00! And based on the feedback, I'll be doing this twice a month! (And no, it won't always be a terraserver image)
