This offends me, it's racist.
It doesn't offend me and is pretty clever.
But if there was a site called "What Black People Like" which featured articles on fried chicken, watermelon and nappy hair there would be Hell to pay.
Yep. I find him unwatchable and unlistenable. Someone makes a simple verbal misstep and he latches on to it like a pitbull on a raw steak. Taking things out of context are his second speciality.
And I'm quite confident that he knows very well what he's doing.
He does more harm to the conservative interests I value than he helps them.
An intelligent person listening to Hannity will be turned off as he time and time again spends 4 hours harping on a point that was clearly taken out of context.
That crap doesn't convince anyone. It's just red meat for the already converted.
Rush is head and shoulders above Hannity in about every regard.
Hannity does do some nice things for the troops, however. Of that there's no debating.
I agree regarding Hannity, Squid. I encourage my conservative friends and acquaintances to listen to Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin (not to mention Rush, if they don't already). Hannity just can't match these hosts where intellectual firepower is concerned.
I thought it was kind of funny and left it at that.
I honestly don't "listen" to many of the talking heads. I've listened to a little of Rush in the past (years ago), and if there is nothing on ESPN Radio on my ride home from work - I occasionally will listen to Hannity to see what is going on. However, often when listening to him for more than 30 minutes and you'll hear the same exact words repeated ad nauseum to the point where you just have to turn it off - even if there is a valid point there. I like reading some of Laura's writings, but I've only heard/seen her a few times on Fox news. Mark Levin does some very good writings though.
Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the conservative movement. His influence is enormous.
FWIW, I wasn't intending this to be a political thread. It's just great satire, particularly for me living in downtown Seattle, one of the world epicenters of whiteness. I can actually see the birthplaces of Starbucks, REI, and Sur La Table from my window.
Even funnier is that it came from Government Cheese, the whitest Angry Black Man I've ever known, who incidentally has now turned into an Acura-driving wine geek...
These are most of the reasons that I've stopped listening to political talk radio and started listening to sports radio instead. Much more entertaining and a Hell of a lot less frustrating.
I thought the satire was funny. Speaking as a white dinner party giving ex graduate student.
Yup, that blog is pretty amusing. Some of it sounds familiar :-)
On the Hannity issue -- do they pay people to call in and fawn at his feet? His show is on during my drivetime, and I listen to it occasionally. The most annoying thing to me is how each caller spends 5 minutes saying how totally awesome Hannity is before actually making his/her comment. It's nauseating. Does that happen on all the talk radio shows?
No, it doesn't happen with all the shows. The "You're a great American" thing is part of his shtick.
Thought it was a pretty cute list but...
Doesn't everyone like Asian women?
