change the name of aktestskins.zip to vl2 and put in your base folder
Download

For us skin dummies, please list out the exact location of file after zip. Also, change to .v12? how do you change a zip to .v12
Sorry for the lack of understanding...its normal for me.
-
You can rename the file a couple of ways:
- find the file by drilling down in My Computer, make sure that the Tools.. Folder Options have 'Hide file extensions' off, right click on the file name and select rename, change the .zip to .v12.
or
- open a MS-DOS window, CD to the directory with the file and issue: RENAME aktestskins.zip aktestskins.v12
Either one will work.

According to Survivr's post: No.

Got it...need more coffee
Thanks for the help.
Survivr...when you get to the female light. Lighten up the leg areas. Otherwise they look great
-
heh its ok i shoulda did this anyways....
Dynamix\Tribes 2\game data\Base
to change it all you do is
aktestskins.zip---> aktestskins.vL2
NOTE!! please do not use a capital l for the vl2 it was just so you saw that it wasn't a #1

I loaded it up last night and played around for awhile. I think they look great and can hardly wait for the rest of the skins.
Great job, Survivr. Thanks.
-
I downloaded the file, got the skin to show up on the list of skins on the player setup page. I see the aktest skin and choose it, but when I actually go into the game it doesn't show up. I'm obviously missing some component. any help?
-
Somewhere in the settings page (I'm at work and can't access T2) there is a toggle for allowing custom skins to show. Make sure that is toggled.
****************
Click Launch...Settings...Game
Toggle Show Personal Skins
