anyone else trying this thing out?
I already own a Mac... :)
I know that Squid... your beautiful iMac... I want one, but I wouldn't even know where to start.... *I'm a dummy when it comes to Mac's.
Best way to learn is to try... Macs are very easy to use..that's sort of the point. :)
The new 17in PowerBooks are SWEET!!
Yes, I need to get a Mac... any mac would do really, as long as it has Mac OS X ;)
Check out the fiber optic keyboard lighting.. that is pretty cool. Get the 17in with the GeForce 4 440 and this thing has pretty good HP to play WWII Online if you wanted too. :D

Yeah, sweet... :)
mesa wantsa 17" powerbook... yummy...
Configured how I want it, it comes in at a paltry $4200.00... Why, oh why, does Apple have to charge so much for their stuff!? I'd never own another x86-based box (except, of course, for a gaming rig) again!
Their top of the line stuff is always premium priced...but there are "bargains" to be had a bit further down the food chain.
But if you're like me you don't like to settle... :)
I still want one of these iMacs.

I want one of those iMacs too.. :D ;)
i bought object desktop (the all-in-one package from stardock). best bang for the buck in my opinion. since object dock is beta software, i'm shying away from it. it's the school year; i can't really afford to put much risk in beta software right now.
I want one of these because Ellen has ... like ... 5 of them.

You can use it on the bottom - but you lose the Windows Taskbar - which can be configured for a bunch of other things. You'd loose that functionality devoting that space to the Object Bar.
Using it on the top makes more sense, but the problem here is that you can't disable the tasks from showing up on the regular Windows taskbar. So you essentially end up with two taskbars - pretty redundant and useless IMO.
Too bad - its well executed. Perhaps they will make these adjustments before its fully released.

I use it on the top, with my taskbar on the right... but with the amount of icons that I have in quick launch it would be impractical for me to only use ObjectDock.
