what about a find to search by clan? or player?
Clay, you also had an ' in your name, you show up now, along with Mr. McKrakin'
I think I like the stats formula better when I was beating Squidly. :D
Sort by name and SHAZAM! you're "better" than Squidly. ;)
Since I'm not #1, there must be something wrong with your formula, Chooz. Work on it.
if player_name = "[AK]Palooka" then
ModSkill := kills*1000
else
ModSkill := kills*.1000
Endif
Since my name is not yet on the stats board, I can't spend my time beaming over my marvelous score. So instead I looked at some of the ancillary stuff on there.
11,000 players since we've started it. Wow, being anywhere in the top 200 is quite an accomplishment (just a little padding there in case I don't do so good.)
But most impressive, did anyone else notice the Opposition to Coallition win ratio? That one surprised me.
Someone who will go unnamed needs to re-evaluate his programming logic in the area of equivalency versus assignment. He might also want to ask himself why he uses Visual Basic. :nuh:
It's that damned VSS. It might as well be a 5-inch deck gun with a scope.Quote:

I corrected the == with what I originally intended to put there.Quote:

You might find it more appealing, depending on how you feel about Pascal. :)
I don't use visual basic, but Documentum's tools mimic some of the constructs (and it's even called "Docbasic."
Added "Rank in Category"
Will be adding more Server wide stats and Clan rankings soon.
Then will work on indie player stats, and map stuff
$stitch = "Earl of Funk";
if ($stitch == 'logged on')
{
print "$stitch" x 100;
}
PERL baby ;)
Alas, you must compare strings with eq, not ==. Your if block will, since you are using ==, always test true even though $stitch will never equal "logged on" since the two strings are converted to integers in the operation. If you just want to print "Earl of Funk" 100 times, your script can be reduced to one line (not counting the shebang).
Logic, baby! (Where is it?) :confused:
My eyes are bleeding...
I see I have to get up a little earlier in the morning to get one past you Palooka, I'll get the coffee maker going a little earlier tomorrow morning! ;)Quote:

well, I was all excited about adding a historical feature to it, but I need to rewrite the code.
Basically, it will give you your basic info for the day, and where you ranked in accordance with everyone else.
Until I rewrite, that portion is excluded from your inidivdual pages.
I noticed that my rank was 19, but when sorted by that column, my rank in category was 18. As I went down the list, I noticed there's no one ranked #9 in Rank Overall. Any idea why that's happening?
it's one player in particular, Shadow[GOD]Lt or something.
I'm not sure why that is happening at the moment, but I'll fix it.
Oh, and I got the daily stats working.
(The medals are a little screwy though, I have 6 listed for myself on the main page, but none in daily)
So now, for each day, you can see how you did, and where you ranked in comparison to all of the other players on the server that day.
i.e. Me yesterday, pitiful,
Date 2004-02-25
Score 17
TeamPoints 0
Kills 17
Deaths 72
KD .236
Rounds 4
Mod_skill 3.636
G 0
S 0
B 0
Rank 213 of 569
by far, my worst performance. I've got this for every day you've played. For every player.
