August Knights Server Moves Once Again  9:25 PST | [AK]Palooka
The server was moved back to its comfortable old home yesterday, so everything is back to normal. The Desert Combat server is once again at 12.165.52.152, as is the Ventrilo server.

While this is great news for DC server regulars, there is some bad news. Because I am only being charged for the rack space and not the bandwidth, which means a great deal on hosting, I need to start policing the bandwidth utilization lest the powers that be decide to start charging me. Thus, the Desert Combat server will now have operating hours. Right now, those hours are 4 PM PST to 4 AM PST, precisely (a cron job will start and stop the server so it's not forgotten). These hours are subject to change; they are merely experimental for now.

Thank you for your patience with our difficulties of late.

Desert Combat Server Change  6:45 PST | [AK]Palooka
For the server regulars who have been wondering where the heck the August Knights Desert Combat server went, it moved. The new IP address for the server is 65.219.63.174. If you already have the AK DC server in your favorites with IP address 12.165.52.152, you need to remove that one and add the server with the new IP address.

When you update the server browser, you will undoubtedly notice two servers with the name "August Knights Desert Combat." The server with IP address 66.60.142.96 is NOT an August Knights server, but an imposter. Obviously, someone is trying to either capitalize on the popularity of our server or tarnish our good name. Make sure the server you add to your favorites and play on is 65.219.63.174.

If you are interested in helping us get the imposter to change the name of his server, please call his ISP at (916) 772-5000 or submit the form here. We appreciate it!
