Heartbreaker  19:58 PST | [AK]TheBeast
The August Knights lost a well-fought battle against Userfriendly tonight in 7-man Capture the Flag competition. Userfriendly broke the August Knights' turtle to cap out by a score of 5-2 on the first map, and they were able to hold off a late rally by the August Knights to win the second map by a score of 4-3.

The August Knights fall to 1-2 in 7-man Capture the Flag ladder, occupying rung #63. Userfriendly moves to 5-3, occupying rung #52. These two teams meet in Tribes 2 Arena competition again on Sunday night. We look forward to once again competing against this great group.

August Knights - T2 Arena  5:07 PST | [AK]NeverRetreat
August Knights move up to rung # 15 after another forfeit granted by TWL. As it stands now we have challenged User Friendly. Two weeks in a row have seen our challenges go no less than 69 hours before acceptance by other team. This was addressed to TWL senior admin late Sunday night after no response from Intensive which by the way has the T2 Arena admin as a member of the team. It is our hope that in the future this great competitive ladder can manage this challenge to the 48 hour acceptance rule and provide swift response to teams not working within the proper window.

Good News!!!  6:45 PST | [AK]NeverRetreat
Wickhawk is back! That's right folks, the powerful and nibble footed protector of generators is up and running again. After a heated T2 battle that left his computer a smoking hunk of metal, Wickhawk has rebuilt that puppy. Faster and stronger, able to process bits faster than ever before. We look forward to Wickhawks return to the battlefields this Sunday night at practice.

Arena slugfest  4:59 PST | [AK]NeverRetreat
The longest match recorded by any August Knight was fought last night. A marathon arena battle pitted AK against a determined and equally matched team of United Nomad Souls. The match lastest a grueling 2 hours and 45 minutes that finished up after midnight. UNS grabbed the first win 7 to 5 on map SmogArena. The great teamwork by both teams and some impressive sniper work lead to a intense battle. The second map Arena in the hill shifted tactics to heavy use of shieldpacks by both thems. Roaming packs engaged each other throughout the map erupting in huge plasma wars that left many players as cooked marshmellows. AK knotted the match at 1 map each with a 7 to 5 win on this map. The tie breaker map was WoodyMyrk. Tactics shifted but snipers were on the prowl and teamwork a must to come through with a win. More than once with time running out the landscape exploded with weapons fire as both teams would take it to the other trying to secure a win. Down 5 - 2, AK began to hurl themselves towards UNS in an effort to improve their score. While AK did manage to pull down two more rounds, the patience and teamwork UNS showed and eventually won out 7 to 4. Great match...outstanding effort by both teams. Look forward to playing them again!

August Knights T2 7 man CTF win  4:58 PST | [AK]NeverRetreat
A great battle Monday night as AK wins in two maps over a tough Kindread team. Kindread provided a great server that we all seemed to ping very well in. The first map was Boss and both teams grabbed the flag 18 times with 3 caps for Kindread and 6 for AK. The second map was Quagmire with solid effort by both teams. Kindread made 14 grabs with no caps and AK made 5 grabs with 1 cap. We wish Kindread success as they are going to be a team to watch. Great group of guys...a class act.
